Description

This is an easy garlic shrimp recipe that takes less than 15 minutes to make from start to finish!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound (16oz) medium to large shrimp, fresh or thawed, if frozen
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel and devein the shrimp. You can keep or remove the tail, that’s up to you.
  2. In a large skillet over medium high heat, add the oil and butter.
  3. When the butter has melted, swirl the pan around to coat the surface evenly.
  4. When the butter is bubbling, add the shrimp and cook for 3 minutes without touching them. Season them with plenty of salt and pepper.
  5. Flip the shrimp over and add the garlic. Cook for 1 minute or until the shrimp are opaque and pink.
  6. Turn the heat off and stir in the lemon juice.
  7. Transfer the shrimp to a plate, drizzle the garlic sauce over them and serve.

Notes

Leftovers: Keep the garlic shrimp in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
