- 1 cup quinoa
- 1 3/4 cup water or broth
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Rinse quinoa thoroughly in a fine mesh strainer, rubbing and swishing for about a minute and a half.
- Drain and place quinoa in a small saucepan.
- Add the water or broth, and salt, and bring to a boil.
- Lower heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Turn the heat off and remove the pot from the burner. Let stand for 5-10 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork and serve.
Notes
Store the cooked quinoa in a storage container and refrigerate for 3 to 5 days.
