Foil Baked Cabbage With Salt Koji
Enhance the natural taste of cabbage and give it extra depth of flavor with this easy foil baked cabbage recipe!

- 1/2 small to medium cabbage, sliced in half
- 2 tablespoon salt koji
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Turn on the oven. Preheat the oven to 380ºF.
- Prep the baking tray. Cut a piece of aluminum foil long enough fold over the cabbage and create a purse. Put the foil on a baking tray and set aside.
- Prep the koji and olive oil. Mix the salt koji and olive oil in a bowl and set aside.
- Brush the cabbage. Brush the salt koji mixture on each piece of cabbage, covering its entire surface.
- Add the dry seasoning. Sprinkle the garlic powder and dried oregano over the salt koji and close the foil by joining each side of the foil in the center. Fold the edges and twist the ends to make sure it’s properly closed.
- Bake the cabbage. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. Open the top of the foil to expose parts of the cabbage and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the leaves are slightly golden brown, if you like a caramelized taste.
Notes
Storage: Transfer the cabbage to a storage container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
