Scale
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts

  • 2 apples (I like Honeycrisp)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  2. Core both apples and put them in an oven proof deep dish pan, or aluminum pie plate.
  3. Pour apple cider over the apples and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top.
  4. Put one tablespoon of chopped walnuts in the center of each apple and top with half a tablespoon of butter.
  5. Bake in the oven for 50 minutes to one hour.
  6. Serve in individual bowls or plates and finish by spooning the sauce over the baked apples.
