When we decided to rent a vacation property in Washington for a short, late summer reprieve this month, I went right into research mode. Not only was it important that we had a place on the water that was big enough for friends and family, it had to have a proper kitchen so we could cook massive meals while singing along to Spotify. Once we settled on a place that ticked all the obligatory boxes, my next move was to email the owner and ask what the chef’s knife situation was. Prep is half the battle when executing a feast in the kitchen – and there’s nothing worse than tripling the prep-time as a dull blade struggles to fight its way through an onion. In fact, I’d say a good set of knives is almost as important as the quality of the ingredients you expect them to chop, dice and chiffon. I’m happy to report that the meals we prepared on vacation were delicious, satisfying and gluttonous enough to please an army of Roman senators.
I’m super excited to be partnering up with my friends at ZWILLING J.A. Henckels who are offering my readers (hey, that’s you!) the opportunity to win a knife set that will make short-work of whatever you throw at it. Whether you’re preparing a meal for an army of friends and family, or making your favorite dish-for-one, you’ll have the perfect set of blades to show-off your awesome knife skills!
One (1) winner will receive one (1) ZWILLING Pro 3-pc Starter Knife Set with a suggested retail value of $250 [3” Paring Knife, 5” Serrated Utility Knife, 8” Chef’s Knife]
