Gemelli with Tomato Sauce and Broccoli

  • 1 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cup broccoli (chopped into bite size pieces)
  • 1 pouch Barilla Ready Pasta Gemelli
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 6 cherry size mozzarella balls (sliced in half or chopped into bite size pieces)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)


  1. In a pan over medium high heat, add extra virgin olive oil. When the oil is hot, add broccoli pieces and cook for 2 minutes
  2. Knead Barilla Ready Pasta Gemelli pouch, add to the pan and heat for 2-4 minutes, until pasta is warm.
  3. Add tomato sauce, oregano and mozzarella pieces and stir. Heat for 1 minute or until the sauce is hot.
  4. Divide pasta among two bowls, season with salt and pepper, and serve.
