Alter Eco Organic Chocolate, Quinoa and Rice Giveaway
I remember my first trip to a proper chocolatier in Montreal as a little girl. Until that point, I had assumed that all chocolate was sold in candy bar wrappers from convenience stores. As my mother picked out delicately lettered boxes of hand-dipped chocolate covered cherries to gift my aunts and uncles, I made the rounds and sampled as many different treats as I thought I could get away with. You might say that my mother was pleasantly shocked when I suggested we buy a box of wafer-thin dark chocolate squares topped with salted caramel for the ride home. It was the fanciest idea that I had come up with thus far in my short life. My mom nodded her approval and gave me a slight wink. After that delicious ride home, chocolate meant something infinitely more magical than it had the day before.
I’m super excited to be teaming up with my friends at Alter Eco who are offering my readers (yes, you!) the chance to win some delicious chocolate bars and truffles, crafted from organic Peruvian and Ecuadorian cacao beans and finished by expert Swiss chocolatiers – as well as heirloom Thai rice and Andean quinoa!
One (1) grand prize winner will receive one-each of Alter Eco’s 11 Chocolate Bars, two 10-packs of their Salted Caramel and Sea Salt Truffles, one pouch Rainbow Quinoa, one pouch Purple Sticky Rice and one pouch Jasmine Rice – with a combined suggested retail value of $77.
One (1) second prize winner will receive five Alter Eco Chocolate Bars and one 10-pack of Truffles – with a combined suggested retail value of $28.
A pioneer of globally crafted organic foods, Alter Eco believes that food is fundamental to life. They work directly with small scale farmers who grow quinoa, rice, sugar and cacao – and help them institute Fair Trade and Organic practices that improve the quality and value of their product.
